This book is a contemporary romance stand alone and tells the story of Amy and Roger's Road trip across the United States. Actually Amy's mother had planned the road trip for her and Roger, who will spend part of his summer in Philadelphia, and he's supposed to get her from California to Connecticut in 4 days but after all, they are just teenagers who want to have and so they decide to take a little detour. The story starts off a little awkward. Roger and Amy had known when they were little kids, but that's been a year and both barely can't remember. Interacting with strangers, or people in general has become difficult ever since Amy's father died and spending 4 days in a car with a stranger terrifies her even more. Her father's das is also the reason why she isn't driving herself. After the accident, her Dad died in she simply can't drive anymore. But along the trip, Amy realises that she's not the only one with problems. Also, Roger has his own load to carry. She somehow has a suspection what it might be, but they don't talk about it just like they don't talk about her father's death. At some poin,t they decide to just go the way they want and to visit all the placed that are important to them and that have connections to the person they mourn and long for. Even though the subjects handled are serious (death, anxiety), the book is somehow light-hearted and easy to read. You can see their friendship develop and how much they learn to trust each other. I really loved how the books is designed with all the playlists and its scrapbook style. Also great is that Morgan actually did this road trip and is sharing her personal experience with us. It's such a nice change to regular books and absolutely enjoyable. This book really is a nice summer read and I can recommend it to everyone who is looking for a fast and easy read.
