It Happened One Summer was my first book written by Tessa Bailey. I was not entirely convinced I liked the book and the main character seemed boring and superficial for the first few pages. But then everything got better and I really started to like Piper as the main character of this book. The writing style was very pleasant to read and after a few chapters I really could not put the book down. The plot was interesting enough and Piper and Brendan had undeniable chemistry that led to some of the bestwritten and honestly hottest spicy scenes I have read this year (so far). It may have been the first book by Tessa Bailey that I have read, but it most definitely will not be the last. The author really understands how to engage her readers and also how to get them all hot and bothered with grumpy, hot, protective and affectionate love interests who just know exactly what to do and what to say. I can't wait for the second book in this series and until then I'lI just have to read ALL the other books Tessa Bailey has written so far.
