I think everyone should read this. This book really opened my eyes as to how people actually feel when they get discriminated or denied something that only whites have. I wish people didn't treat others so badly. The characters were awesome and inspired me to be a better person! I have also read other books by this author and those are excellent as well. I recommend this book to everyone and it should be a mandated book that they teach in middle school so kids can learn the moral of the story and learn something from this book. I am not sure who my favorite character was because I loved them all. Also,I could not put this book down once I started it. It only took me a couple of days to read this. I heard there is a movie for this book and I am just dying to see it and compare it to this book. I wonder how the actors would be and whether their personalities matched the role of each character. The author did a wonderful job on her first book. The.book deserved every single award it had received!
