I found the basic idea with the Fire and Frost Bloods really cool and interesting. It is well known that the two powers are enemies, but fire and frost sometimes have to work together .. it's epic and very soulful. Seemed like a perfect fantasy book! I found the implementation quite successful, it was a sweet and easy romantic story with great characters! The entire book design was just great and suitable! In Ruby I was able to recognize myself many times and identify with her; and Arcus seemed the perfect match. Slightly defiant and emotionally cold, the two coups. Brother Thistle was also a very honorable character who stole a place in my heart! I liked the ending very much, on the one hand you are expecting it, but I still thought it was a success! In my opinion, this book could easily be self-contained. Sure, there are still open questions, but the blurb from the second volume is already triggering me - it looks like a veeery provoked 'conflict'. I'm almost afraid to continue with the second volume.
