What a very very good book!!! I loved this so much!!! The world is super interesting, I love the politics that takes place in this one, I love the magic, I love the relationships between humans and fairies AND I love Jude!! Jude is such a fantastic main character! She is human and compared to the fairies she is weak and prone to manipulation, but she is so smart. She knows exactly what she wants and she knows how to get what she wants. She is fantastic at planning, knows everything about court politics, because of her father figure. Never did she trust anyone enough to be in danger of being too naive. She questions peoples motives to find out whether they really say what they mean or whether there is some hidden meaning. She knows her strength and how to use them. She knows her weaknesses and how to turn them into opportunities to get what she wants. To succeed. She is such an awesome multidimensional character!! And she is not entirely good either. She has dark sides to her, but these dark sides and emotions are all so very relatable. Like jealousy, like mistrust. Just... I could go on and on, but let's just leave it at this: Jude is awesome. And I am so excited to read book 2! And yes, the other characters are great as well and as previousy mentioned I also really like the world, but Jude and only Jude is the reason why I freaking love this book so much! <333333333
