Before I read this book I didn't know that it's possible to put so much emotion in one single book. She was promised to Angelo Bandini, the son of another powerful family in Chicago's Outfit, and both liked the idea of becoming a married couple. But Fate had other ideas. Someone stole her first kiss and an enthralling story begins... * This book was EVERYTHING and touched my heartstrings. It contains an arranged marriage, an age gap, lies, false promises, angst, hate, pain, a dark and mysterious past, lots of hot moments, perfect chemistry between the main characters, a strong heroine, a HAF and irresistible hero and finally heartwarming love. * I also listened to the audiobook and can highly recommend it, too. It felt more intense as reading by myself. The narrators did an AMAZING job. Totally worth to enjoy both. Reading and listening!!! * Thank you Ms. Shen for writing another incredible story. I really can't get enough of your books.
