My dear friends! Last night was full of emotion as I turned page after page of Andrew Krivaks’ The Bear. It is set in a dystopian world where the only human beings are a father and his daughter. He teaches her everything he knows about surviving, life and loss, nature, taking and giving. . 🐻 . The girl learns nothing to be useles and nothing to happen without the surroundings to notice. Why it is necessary to move on, even if you can’t see a point. . 🐻 . I really like stories that will build up emotion without needing to say β€œI was so hurt, it shocked me...”. This one is like that. Calm and constant it is narrated, and even without saying most things, I felt it. The girl as she saw the grave of her mother and understood loneliness for the first time, the father torn between grief and need to protect is daughter. It is about hope, strength a sheer will and natures mercy and made my cry. 🐻 This one I will definitely read again, and recommend it to anyone interested in my opinion. 5 🌟
