How to fix a broken soul? Milk & Honey is the first anthology by Canadian spoken word artist Rupi Kaur, and it is amazing. It breaks your heart, it makes you fall in love, it hurts you,it heals you, it makes you cry and love. One can identify with a lot of her poems. They are wonderful written, every word drops of emotion and honesty. The book is divided into four parts, and every part has got a special atmosphere. Even the synopsis on the back of the book is a poem! It is truly amazing. And hearing Rupi Kaur perfoming her art is something everybody should experience (go to YouTube if you don't know her...right now!). Furthermore, it is a book about the strenght of woman. It encourages every woman out there to be strong, fearless and powerful, to believe in yourself,to free yourself from everything that binds you. To be yourself and to live life like YOU want it. Rupi Kaur does magic with words. She builds hole castles with them, forms paintings in your head. She wraps her tongue around your heart and the words will leave a deep impression in your soul. “i am a museum full of art but you had your eyes shut” She accuses her former lover (?) for not treatig her the right way, but she does this in the most beautiful of all ways. It is amazing and brilliant and everything. THIS collection is everything! Go read it!!!
