Six of Crows is a fantastic read. The characters are so detailed and different, they remind me a lot of the characters from the Throne-of-Glass series. Kaz Brekker ist like a male Celaena Sardothien! Bardugomanaged to create some people with who you just have to fall in love. Kaz is a genious! Wearing black gloves all the time he seems to be determined to take revenge for everything that has been done to him. He treats most people like rubbish and has difficulties to show some feelings- so he is not the usual hero. Instead, he is broken, injured and lacks of emotions. It is therefore difficult not to like him^^ Inej is the super badass female spy, who dares to dream and hopes for a better life. Her relationship with Kaz is complicated, what makes the story interesting. Nina is a Grisha. She is so adorable and in my opinion just like a mother to all of them. Her heart is so big but her tongue still sharp enough to frighten the others. Jesper is just Jesper. Never standing still, always in a movement, never resting with a slogan for every sittuation. Matthias is the bad guy in the crew, but without him the novel would not be as good as it is. The 6.th man has to be discovered by yourself (because of spoilers). The writing style is beautiful- Bardugo incorporates present and past times so well, that one really gets into the story and its charcters. They become so familiar and I wanted them to be succesful. The worlbuilding is amazing- I love the Grisha- Universe with all the dutch-sounding names. There is action and love and friendship and danger and betrayal in this book. It is dark and violent but also funny and lovely. I would recommend it for fans of Throne of Glass, the Grisha-trilogy, Graceling and Dustlands.
