The book is by Margaret Rogerson and revolves around Elisabeth who happened to have spend her whole life as an orphan within a library. There she works hard to become a warden to protect the library from sorcerers and the world from the books in their vault. Shortly after she meets the first magician of her life, certain events leave her to question her past and the nature of sorcerers. She is forced to leave the library and taken to court, where she slowly comes to understand those certain events and their purpose. 💛 This is a bewitching tale of being forced to reinvent oneself, to acquire greater good and to safe the whole world, because who else would? During her travels she is accompanied by sorcerer and "source of all devil" - as her teacher would have made her think - Nathaniel Thorn. He more than once saves her life and offers her a helping hand as often as needed. While they adventure together a small love begins to form, growing stronger with each time one saves anothers life. I really enjoyed my time, had some laughs and heartracing with this one and hope to be able to read many more books from Margaret Rogerson!
